Phonological Awareness
This week students practiced identifying everyday sounds. You can play a game with your student to reinforce this skill at home. Have your child cover their eyes, and make noises like closing a door, ringing the door bell or banging on a pot. Have your student open their eyes and identify the object that made the noise!
Position Words
This week we learned about position words. Here is a game you can play to help your child practice using position words: Have your child get their favorite stuffed animal. Ask them to do the following tasks:
1. Put the animal on your head.
2. Put the animal on your shoulder.
3. Put the animal under your arm.
4. Put the animal beside your face.
5. Put the animal behind your back.
